To create this! (Watch the official trailer)
The app presents the full score of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and the prequel features excerpts of other works by great composers: Wagner, Schumann, Mahler, Puccini, Smetana, Elgar, Mussorgsky, Grieg, Dukas, Satie and Zemlinsky.
Throughout the story, each musical movement and/or excerpt is triggered by a swipe, allowing the child to develop a sense of musical pacing.
Understanding of the relationship between music and storytelling through the Music section.
Exposure to unique mixed media techniques (illustrations, model building, photography, animations, sound design, music recording) through the Bonus section.
The app is currently available for iPad and iPhone and the producers were releasing the iPhone version today.
Disclosure: I attended this Peter and the Wolf App launch event as a media. Regardless I was not required to write about the app. Thanks Maria Bailey of BSM Media for this wonderful opportunity!
Instead I wanted to share my own photos with Alice Cooper, him autographing a poster with my name and his signature. Alice talking about his gorgeous wife, Sheryl, whom he married for 40 years. Yes, Sheryl was also at the event quietly sitting in the corner. I learned that she’s a ballet teacher.
Because Alice is known for scaring people, in real life he’s not scary. He’s a husband and a father and a grandfather. Alice Cooper is a groovy dude, Rock n Roll Hall of Famer and a Rock legend! Never in my life would I thought that I will have a photo with him and to chat about his life.
