#spon: I’m required to disclose a relationship between our site and Intel This could include Intel providing us w/content, product, access or other forms of payment.
Several years ago when the first tablets came out I was very excited with the ease and convenience that they provided. Their portability is one of their best features. The fact that you can bring your desktop/laptop with you without the extra weight and bulk is a big plus. With all the good things they brought to the table they are still lacking when it comes to data entry and stability. Several companies have been listening to consumers and have been working on creating a device that is the best of both worlds. You know a laptop that can be a tablet and a tablet that can be a laptop. Most of these companies have created a keyboard that can be integrated into a tablet. This does not seem to be the best solution.
The new Intel 2 in 1 Dell Inspiron 13 that is powered by Intel truly brings the best of both words together. Using the Windows 8 operating system Dell provides a usable touch screen display that is attached to a workable keyboard. I can go from laptop mode to Tablet mode just by folding the screen backwards.
Furthermore I can fold the screen and keyboard in a way that allows the whole unit to stand on its own. This feature has been very useful in my kitchen when following new recipes. I simply use the Inspiron 13 in laptop mode to find a particular recipe. Then I flip it over in the shape of a triangle and stand it up on my kitchen counter.
In this mode I use it as a tablet to read the recipe and maybe even watch some how-to cooking videos. It is great to be able to go from my desk to the kitchen using the same device.
My husband said that he is looking forward to using it when he re-caulks our bathtub. He plans on checking out the latest videos and watching them while he caulks. He even joked that he could video chat with his buddy who is a contractor to make sure he is doing everything right. Overall we look forward to putting our new Dell Inspiron 13 to the test all around our house.
This Dell Inspiron 13 is a perfect gift for the whole family or any family member. That’s why it’s a part of my Holiday Gift Guide 2014
