When you’re a little girl and Halloween comes around your usually thinking about dressing up as your favorite movie or TV character. Images of Cinderella, Snow White, Tinkerbell, Smurfs, and Belle come to mind. For some girls their thoughts are a little bit darker and more Halloween appropriate. They may be thinking of Draculaura, witches, ghosts, zombie girls, or maybe even a girl serial killer. For the past several years my daughter has dressed up as a cat on and off. She had a cat mask, ears, and a tail. It was pretty cute and she really enjoyed pretending she was a cat.
This year I was thinking that for Halloween both of can go dressed as Catwoman and Catgirl. I was looking online for Catwoman costumes and found loads available for sale. The only problem was that many of the costumes were inappropriate for kids to wear.
I continued my search and finally found a two matching Catwoman costumes on a website called Halloween Adventure.
Both of the costumes were appropriate for all ages. They were from the Batman Movie The Dark Knight and include a belt, eye mask, headpiece, and jumpsuit. On the Halloween Adventure website they provide four adult sizes to choose from with measurements and descriptions. I am usually reluctant to order clothing online unless the site provides good measurements like Halloween Adventure did. For my young one there were three sizes to choose from and a hand size chart that was available to help get the perfect size.
After ordering the two costumes they arrived within a week. I tried my on first followed by my daughter. Both costumes fit like a glove. For myself I ordered size Large. The bodysuit fits good. It is easy to move in, lightweight and comfortable. The biggest problem I had with the belt. The belt looks good on the photo above and it says one size fits all, however it is way too small and tight. I could hardly close it. The costume makers have to fix the belt issue. The gloves were a bit loose and much shorter than on the model. The eye mask is made of PU and has some details to it. It can get a bit sweaty to wear and smells too. For 1 Halloween night for me it should be OK, however my daughter didn’t like hers, but instead, found her old black kitty mask that she is going to wear. The head piece is OK, I have no problems with it.
For my 8 year old daughter I ordered size Medium Youth. Her costume wasn’t too tight or too loose.
We looked like Catwoman twins or the Mama and daughter Catwoman and Catgirl team. Of course my daughter wanted to wear her Catwoman costume for the rest of the day. We instead agreed that we would put them away until Halloween comes around. I have to say we are both very excited to get out there on Halloween and trick or treat in our new Catwoman costumes.
